Vice Chair: Meriem Benlamri

Through her personal, academic, and professional experience, Meriem Benlamri has come to understand that language can act as a significant barrier to accessing essential services.This experience has fueled her passion for improving equitable access to physical health, mental health, and social services, and was her motivation for joining CISOC’s Board of Directors. Meriem holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Communications, equipping her with knowledge of health care systems and skills in design, marketing, and communications. She is a Knowledge Broker at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, working with cross-sector stakeholders to transform and re-design the youth mental health system. As the youngest member of the board, she is excited to bring a creative and intersectional lens to grow the organization’s impact in a connected world.
